I hope everyone had a safe weekend full of lots of love and kindness toward the very special moms and grandmas who are apart of our families. Time seems to be flying by and the end of June is going to be here before we know it. I will begin to book a one time, one-on-one session with myself and your child through Teams to play some games and accomplish assessment in the next few weeks. New work package: Some families have requested a new work package for their kiddo to use at home. By clicking the button below, you can download and print a new work package that contains 20 pages of literacy and numeracy worksheets. These are not mandatory to complete but rather a supplementary option for students would like extra pencil and paper work. Show and tell: Show and tell will continue on Fridays during our small group Teams conference. This week the kiddos can share something that starts with the letter, Z! Daily Teaching Videos: I will continue to send daily teaching videos every morning by 11:00 am. All teaching videos will be followed up with an assignment under the "activities" section on Seesaw. Some days there may not be a video but rather, an assignment posted with instructions on how to implement the activity at home. Thank-you for uploading these activities to your child's portfolio. I have appreciated the opportunity to continue connecting and learning with your kiddo, from home! Aside from sending you the link in your Seesaw inbox, I will also be posting the activities and videos to the blog for easy access later on. Here is the daily teaching video for today, Monday, May 11th: Homemade playdough: One of my favorite things to do as a kid was to make playdough with my mom! We have a special family recipe from my Aunty that I continue to make for the kinders to play with today. I thought I would share it in case anyone is feeling they need an extra activity to do with their kiddos at home this week. Feel free to add essential oils and food coloring to the mix for some extra fun! I have also used a kettle instead of cooking the mixture in a pot and it works just a well.
