This page is dedicated to the most important people in your child's life-you! During these trying times, please remind yourselves that you are doing the best you can in this new, ever-evolving reality. Spending time with your loved ones takes precedence over anything. Take care of each other, read, play, sing and bake together! Every household seems to need different things right now as many parents are essential workers in our community and need to continue working. This page is here to support you and act as a "self-help" as you know what you and your child need best. The activities suggested are merely to supplement virtual learning from school. If you need any further support, please do not hesitate to contact me. On this page, you will find:
1) Suggested Daily Schedule
2) Online and Reading Resources
3) Printable pages
4) Journal topic suggestions
This page will grow in the coming weeks for resources and supports as we see fit. Again, please do not hesitate to reach out for feedback and suggestions. We will get through this challenging time together!
1) Suggested Daily Schedule: I have adapted this schedule to reflect an example of what a day could look like for your child. At school, the kiddos and I keep track of our day using a classroom visual schedule. If this is something you could use at home, I have provided two links below. The first one will download the exact PDF of the picture. The second one is a word document that would allow you to customize it accordingly to your day as everyone's schedule may look different.

Brandon Library: Brandon Public library is offering contactless book delivery to its patrons. You are able to go online and request up to 10 titles, which they will deliver to your doorstep. Click the button below to go to their delivery webpage:
Directed Drawings: this online tool is a great way to creatively develop fine motor skills, improve listening and paying attention to detail and can improve focus stamina. All you need is a pencil, paper and some crayons to color afterwards.
Movement Resources: Playing outside is the best way to implement movement into your child's home learning schedule. However here are some online resources and apps to get your child's body moving!
Online Games
3) Extra work booklets: Every child plays and learns differently. Some child find joy in completing worksheets and others learn best by paper and pencil activities. I have provided resources that can be accessed by clicking the buttons below to download extra worksheet/ activity booklets. This resource will require you to have a printer.
Journal Writing Prompts: The kiddos should have the freedom to write about whatever they want in their writing book. I am strongly encouraging that you push your child to begin writing sentences down instead of labelling their pictures. We are at the point in Kindergarten where we can use popcorn words in our writing too! Sometimes we get stuck and do not know what to write about so I have provided some resources to spark the love and interest of writing below.
