Ms. Kajati
Hello! Welcome. As you explore our classroom website, I invite you to learn a lot bit about myself as your child and I embark on a new adventure in Kindergarten at Earl Oxford Elementary School.
My name is Ms. Kajati and this will be my fourth year teaching. I grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan and graduated from the Education program at the University of Regina with a B.Ed degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I spent a year teaching Pre-Kindergarten at a school in Regina and then decided to make the move to the progressive city of Brandon, Manitoba. I enjoy fostering child-lead learning, while instilling values such as kindness, honesty, independence and the ability to critically think. Technology is a big part of our classroom as our society continually grows in a technological direction. I believe in teaching your child how take learning into their own hands and technology and critical thinking is an integral part of this philosophy. In addition to your child becoming a digital citizen, they will also gain the confidence to read and put pencil to paper while learning to write!
Outside of school, while the weather is nice, I enjoy doing outside activities like kayaking, hiking, biking, gardening and swimming. I also love to cook and drinking coffee. While I went to University, I played 5 years of CIS basketball. Basketball, as well as many other sports, continue to be a passion of mine and I look forward to helping develop the athletes we have in our community through extracurricular activities.
If you ever have any questions, comments or concerns throughout the year, never hesitate to reach out to me. My contact information is below.
