We are learning about 3D shapes in Kindergarten! We are learning to identify and describe the shapes using common geometric terms. We know that we can do this when: 1) We can identify a cube, cylinder, sphere and cone. 2) We can talk about the 2D shapes we see in the 3D objects. 3) We can give an example of a real life 3D figure. 4) We can sort 3D shapes and give the sorting rule. 5) We can build a model with 3D shapes and talk about the differences between the original 3D model. Here is the poem we read today! Remember you can practice it with your mom, dad, dog or call grandma and grandpa. The button below the picture allows you to print off a copy. 3D Shape Cards: Below is a 3D shapes game that you can print off and play or you can use the 3rd page as flash cards and signs for your museum at home!
